We employ the cheapest labor when it comes to design. But not with production. Quality of manufacture is job number one around here. But let’s talk about the design; more specifically, the designer–Bert Ernie. What can we say? He is lazy, doesn’t know the first thing about color, composition and he rarely shows up in the office. When he shows up, he is usually drunk. But he is all we can afford.

Bert’s design is titled ‘Palm Beach’ and is based on one of his outrageous abstract paintings – ‘Celebrities at a party in Palm Beach’ Not satisfied with just a colorful mess of paint-splatter, he has used his computer to take circles of it and move them around. When Bert first showed us the design, we had a few questions – like, what’s with the circles, why is it totally abstract and what the hell is with the wild banana. They were shot down with his usual general rudeness and disdain for the lesser than workers here in the office. So we just gave him his $10 fee and sent him on his way. Once we tried the new design, we were quite happy – it is definitely an eye-catching piece of clothing.
