Not only are they super snazzy, they are also handmade with premium materials ethically.
We asked our resident designer, Bert Ernie (yes, that is his real name) to come up with a design for some activewear for women and he has produced these. They are very complex visually and feature exquisitely colored abstract elements but we soon realised something was missing – the left side doesn’t have the same design, indeed much of it is absent. This caused a ruckus in the office, but the design has grown on us. So much so, we have adopted the asymmetric design principle to be a key feature of most of our wild clothes and accessories.

This material is printed with our super snazzy design, then cut and sewn to create a unique, handmade pair of plus size leggings.

Gym Pants Plus Size Leggings Design
It is said that there is a fine line between a genius and an idiot. For self proclaimed artistic genius Bert Ernie, he definitely has a foot in both camps. The design brief for these leggings was a simple one – lots of color, some crazy geometric patterns – the sort of thing you in gyms everywhere. Bert went away and came back a few days later with a floppy disk of files. When we saw them, it soon dawned on us they weren’t quite right – they weren’t finished!
Trying to get this across to our resident artist is akin to banging your head against a wall. We tried to get him to go back and create the rest of the design. He said “No. That is finished.” We asked why it is like it is. “Symmetry sucks. It is boring.” We explained that everyone else… “They aren’t artists. They are corporate hacks.” After a fair bit of argument, we kinda see that Bert is right.
Even though Bert has produced a fabulous design for us, we still paid him his usual fee – which is $10.
