Spiral Meltdown — that box never looked like this

Tiffany blue has spent decades meaning one thing: a small box, a white ribbon, and something expensive inside. It’s a color that belongs to jewellers, to occasion, to restrained elegance. Spiral Meltdown has other plans.

Spiral Meltdown is an original digital artwork by Melbourne artist Bert Ernie — a composition that pulls in two directions at once. The upper half is all sweeping concentric circles and fluid curves, soft and almost hypnotic. The lower half is where things come apart: oversized typographic letterforms from Bert’s collection of weird and wonderful fonts crash into geometric shapes, mechanical details, and bursts of color. Against Tiffany blue, the design takes on a freshness and luminosity that feels entirely its own. The warm tones in the composition — coral, orange, peach — glow against the cool base. The purples and magentas sing. The whole thing is elegant and unruly at exactly the same time.

The design runs down the right side of the sweatshirt — across the shoulder, down the front and back panels, and fully along the right sleeve. The front and back panels mirror each other at the seam, creating a totem-pole effect at the join that rewards a closer look. The Wild Peach logo sits in matching Tiffany blue, embedded in the design. Subtle. Deliberate. Very much there if you’re paying attention.
