Carmine is not a shy red. It’s not a cautious red. It’s the red that walks into the room first, takes the best spot, and doesn’t apologise for either. It’s also, as legging bases go, one of the boldest and most electrifying in the entire Playful Bounce lineup.

Playful Bounce is an original digital artwork by Melbourne artist Bert Ernie — a vertical column of circles, rounded rectangles, and organic forms stacking and overlapping in translucent layers, with typographic elements scattered playfully throughout. The composition runs from waistband to ankle down the right side of the leggings, and the waistband itself carries a strip of the design on the right side only — a detail that makes these asymmetric designed leggings genuinely unlike anything else you’ll find. Look closely and you’ll find something new every time — a shape you hadn’t noticed, a color combination that shouldn’t work but absolutely does.

Against the carmine red base, the composition crackles with energy. The cooler tones — teals, purples, blues — push hard against the warmth of the base. The pinks and magentas fold into the red with beautiful depth. The greens and yellows cut through with vivid, almost electric contrast. Every kettlebell swing, every track interval, every gym session is more alive in these — which, for leggings this red, feels entirely appropriate.
